Charles and Samantha McCoury announce the engagement of their daughter, Misty Dawn, to Woody Allen Thompson, son of Woodrow and Vicki Thompson.

 

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Cloudland High School and a 2009 graduate of East Tennessee State University.

 

Misty is the granddaughter of the late Gurney and Mary McCoury, the late Buster McVey, and Peggy and Sam Carter of Damascus, Va. She is the great-granddaughter of Ruby McConnell, also of Damascus.

 

Her fiancé is a 2004 graduate of Cloudland High School and is employed by Elk River POA.

 

Woody is the grandson of Lucy Thompson and the late Ed Thompson and the late Harold and Gertrude Hicks.

 

The open-church wedding is planned for Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Little Doe Freewill Baptist Church in Hampton.

Tiffany Nelms and Casey A. Gouge are today announcing their engagement and upcoming marriage.

 

The bride-elect is a graduate of Gateway Christian Academy. She is employed by Wal-Mart.

 

Her fiancé is the son of Ralph Gouge of Maryville. He is the grandson of LaVerne Gouge of Elizabethton and the late Zack Gouge.

 

Casey is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. He is employed by Vanderbilt Mortgage Company.

 

A wedding is planned for Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church in Maryville, followed by a wedding trip to Tybee Island, Ga.
