Anna May Morgan, 77, of Watauga, passed away and has gone home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 at Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Morgan was born in Highland County, Ohio to the late Melva Davidson. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, Ed and May Davidson.
Mrs. Morgan retired as an assistant district manager with Avon. She was a member of First Christian Church of Johnson City, where she attended the “Win a Couple” class and volunteered at many church functions.
Survivors include her daughters, Belinda Witte and husband William Anthony Witte I of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Connie Wade and husband John Mark of Watauga; grandsons, Charles Anthony Witte II and wife Emily, and John Joseph Wade and wife Stephanie; and four half-sisters.
The funeral service for Mrs. Morgan will be conducted at 10 am on Monday, March 4, 2013, at First Christian Church of Johnson City with Mr. Steve Hill, minister officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Monday, from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service.
The graveside service for Mrs. Morgan will follow the funeral service in Scalf Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be John Joseph Wade, John Mark Wade, William Anthony Witte, Danny VanDyke, Ricky York, and Mickey Keplinger.
