Christine Honeycutt Buchanan

JOHNSON CITY — Christine Honeycutt Buchanan, 75, of East Fairview Avenue, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at Christian Care Center in Johnson City, Tenn.
She was a native of Mitchell County, N.C., and a daughter of the late Burnie and Bertha Forbes Honeycutt.
Mrs. Buchanan was a member of Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Johnson City, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilkie Buchanan; her sister, Helen Ryan; and one brother, Marshall Honeycutt.
Survivors include her son, Wendell W. Buchanan and wife Robin, Blountville, Tenn.; one sister, Evelyn Street, Unicoi, Tenn.; three brothers, Milburn Honeycutt, Johnson City, Tenn., Douglas Honeycutt and Burnie Bradley “Boss” Honeycutt, both of Bakersville, N.C.; five grandchildren, Ryan, Marshall, Rachel, Codie and Kaden Buchanan; and two great-grandchildren, Darren and Jolene.
A memorial service for Mrs. Buchanan will be held Thursday, January 23, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Richard Jones and Larry “Doc” Miller officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Buchanan Family, c/o Wendell Buchanan, 476 Highway 75, Blountville TN 37617.
