LENOIR CITY — Darrell G. Gentry, 83, of Lenoir City, passed away Saturday evening, June 8, 2013.
Darrell was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and was retired from Champion Motor Coach. He served in the United States National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Ethel Gentry, and his brother, Dale Ray Gentry.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Simpson Gentry; children and their spouses, Don and Linda Gentry of Lenoir City, Dennis and Barbara Gentry, Darcey and Claudia Gentry and Phyllis Gentry, all of Michigan, Gloria and David Templeton, Dee Dee and Mike Romeo and Lisa and Stephen Lawling; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Pike of Elizabethton; nephews, Gary and Greg Reed; nieces, Debbie Glines and Linda Carecraft; one great-niece, and two special cousins, Vergie Gentry and Ann Marshall.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Click officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, and proceed to Lakeview Mausoleum for entombment services at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Highland Park Baptist Church Building Fund or St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
