Earl Little, 80, of Elizabethton, entered into rest on Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Little was a Carter County native and a son of the late H. Clay and Florence Miller Little.
Mr. Little had retired from Inland Container where he had operated a printing press for many years. He was of the Baptist Faith and had served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Barbara White Little; two sisters, Beryl Laws and her husband John, and Christine “Chris” Flanary and her husband James.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Bruce Hendrich, Elizabethton, and Julie and Jack Briguglio, Waxhaw, N.C.; a brother, Buddy Little and his wife Trilla, Elizabethton; a sister, Evelyn Baldwin and her husband Randall, Johnson City; four grandchildren, Brent Hendrich, Nashville, Mark Hendrich, Johnson City, and Mia and Anthony Briguglio, Waxhaw, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Terria Harms and her husband Jay, Johnson City; two brothers-in-law, Joe White, Cleveland, Ohio, and Gary White and his wife Dee, Miami, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to his caregivers who meant so much to him and his family, Sherry Alexander, Wanda Hyder, Laurie Upchurch and Dawnella Campbell and the staff of Hermitage Nursing Home.
A memorial service for Mr. Little will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with his son-in-law, Bruce Hendrich, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, 207 N. Boone Street, Johnson City, TN 37604 or to “We Love Our Church,” Oak Street Baptist Church, 804 Oak Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643. Friends may call at the residence of a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Bruce Hendrich, 576 Jobe Road, Elizabethton, at anytime. It was Mr. Little’s wish to be cremated.
