Frankie Joyce Congram, 74, passed away in the early morning hours, Tuesday, September 18, 2012, of a heart attack.
Born and raised in Elizabethton, she was a 15-year resident of Kingsport from 1989 to 2004. In the years prior to her death, she was an active member of the Watauga Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many callings and serving others wherever she was needed, particularly assisting others in researching their family history.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Congram Jr., and her mother, Virginia “June” Davis.
Frankie is survived by her sister, Ruby Dillon and family of Elizabethton, and her brother, Tom Tyree, Elizabethton; her children, Donna Waters, Elizabethton, Mike Torres, Atlanta, Ga., Ellen and Brian Johnston, Frederick, Md., Daniel and Karen Congram, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Elizabeth and Erwin Allen, Las Vegas, Nev.; and 13 grandchildren, Tiffany Gold, Stephanie Johnson, Alex Johnston, Afton Johnston, Ian Johnston, Ivy Johnston, Nora Johnston, Michael
