She was the daughter of the late Clark and Bessie Hardin Blevins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Kyte, and a brother, Ken Blevins.
Mrs. Peters was a former home health care worker and attended Lynnwood Christian Church in Johnson City, Tenn. She loved her family and enjoyed shopping.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Dana Peters; a son, Greg Peters and his wife Wendy, Johnson City; a daughter, Angie Suder and her husband Joey, Piney Flats; six grandchildren, Amanda Peters, Jason Peters, Austin Peters, Justin Suder, Lindsey Suder and Lauren Suder; three great-grandchildren, Ava Lopez, Adrian Lopez and Christian Peters; two brothers, Douglas “Hal” Blevins and Earl Blevins; and a sister, Brenda Vines. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Mrs. Peters will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, November 17, at Tetrick Funeral Home in Elizabethton. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service, and at the residence at other times. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 18, at Blevins Cemetery in Elizabethton, Tenn. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason Peters, Joey Suder, Austin Peters, Justin Suder, Jeremy Clark and Teddy Vines. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery.
