Glen Edward Teague, 72, Hampton, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Clyde Smith and Ruth Norris Teague.
Mr. Teague was a farmer. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was of the Free Will Baptist Faith.
He was a grandson of the late Jackson Lee and Rhoda Waters Teague and Ray and Jennie Simerly Norris.
Survivors include two aunts, Lois Hill, Elizabethton, and Joyce Ramsey, West Jefferson, N.C.; his cousins, Sue Smith, Margaret Deloach, Terri Berry, Zane Teague, Shirley Smith, Sylvia Galliher, Judy Propst, Roberta Herrin, Rhoda McKinney, Dodge Teague, Delaney Teague, Mabel Grindstaff and his special cousin and friend, Rosalee McKinney; his special friend and neighbor, Otis Vines and family; his caregivers, Teresa Honeycutt, Robert Honeycutt and Laura Julian; and several other cousins.
Graveside services for Mr. Teague will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, September 27, in the Captain Nelson Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Interment will follow the service. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion and the Tennessee National Guard. Pallbearers will be Robert Honeycutt, Dustin Honeycutt, Laura Julian and other friends. Friends may register their presence at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Thursday or Friday morning until noon. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Friday.
