Harry Dwitt Carr III, 60, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Covington, Ky., he was a son of the late Harry Dwitt and Hildred Lillian Simerly Carr.
Mr. Carr was retired, due to disability, as a Lead Man at Watauga Industries. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Sue Lovelace Carr; a son, Christopher Murden, Elizabethton; two step-children, Sherry Stafford, Elizabethton, and Christopher Hardin and wife Lisa Sue, U.S. Army stationed in Afghanistan; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Barbara Ann McNeil, Elizabethton, and Darlene Lemming of Chicago; and several nieces, nephews and family members.
A memorial service for Mr. Carr will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 27, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Justin Deaton officiating. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Dr. Angela Merrifield and her staff for their excellent care during the years. It was his wish to be cremated.
