James B. Queen

James Brandon Queen, 61, of Elizabethton, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013, at his home after an extended illness.
A native of Mitchell County, N.C., he was the son of the late Gervace and Vernice Queen. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Ada Jane Acuff and Margaret Queen Hughes.
Brandon was the owner of Century Concrete Coating Company. He was a member of Unaka Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge #734 in Marrow, Ga.
Brandon loved life, family, friends and most of all to make others smile.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Queen; a brother, Roger Queen of Bakersville, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Mr. Queen will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unaka Baptist Church, 1598 Highway 91, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville, N.C., is assisting the Queen Family.
