TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — James “Double Trouble” Russell Smith, 74, of Kathy’s Lane, Taylorsville, passed away Monday, August 12, 2013.
He was born March 20, 1939 to the late Bruce Smith and Della Harmon Smith in Johnson City, Tenn.
James was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Allen Bruce Smith and Kenneth Ray Smith; one sister, Wanda Markham; and one brother, George Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Rena Kathryn Buchanan Smith, of the home; one daughter, Elizabeth Dula and husband Joe; one daughter-in-law, Lisa Smith; one special grand-niece, Sommer Clark; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; special friends; and several nieces and nephews.
