Jeff Wiseman, 58, Johnson City, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, peacefully at home surrounded by his family and friends.
Jeff was born in Johnson City and was a lifelong resident of Carter and Unicoi counties.
He was a son of the late Arnold and Eloise Hall Wiseman.
Jeff was a 1972 graduate of Happy Valley High School.
He was the manager of Wiseman Farms and former manager of Wiseman’s Clothing.
Jeff loved his horses and loved to ride his Harley-Davidson.
He is survived by his daughter, Jade Hodge and husband Earl, of the home; his three granddaughters, Alexis, Ashlyn and Kinley, all of the home; his brother, Joe Wiseman and wife Ruby, Johnson City; his sister, Ann Everly and husband Dave, Unicoi; two nephews, Blake Wiseman and family, Richmond, Va., and Charlie Wiseman and family, Boston, Mass.; extended family, including his very special aunt, Ruth Ellis DiGregorio, and special caregiver, Gigi.
Jeff never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew him.
The funeral service will be conducted Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at 4 p.m. from the East Chapel of the Appalachian Funeral Home, with Dr. Ron Murray officiating.
The family will receive friends Sunday prior to the service from 2 to 4 p.m. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.
The committal service and entombment will be held at a later date in the Mausoleum at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
