Linda F. Pierce

Linda Faye Pierce, 67, formerly of Witcher Lane, Erwin, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012, in Greeneville.

A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Bernice Wilson Pierce of Erwin.

In her earlier years, Linda was active in her church, Rock Creek Presbyterian Church of Erwin, and volunteered at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital and the Library. She also worked in a family business for many years in Erwin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Charlotte Sue Pierce.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Richard C. Estep, Savannah, Ga.; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Anne Marie Pierce, Delray Beach, Fla.; a nephew, Jeffery L. Estep of Georgia; and two nieces, Dawn, husband Mark and children, Lydia and Aiden Bishop of Michigan, and Dana, husband Chris and children, Connor and Drew Stanford of Pennsylvania. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.

A memorial service for Ms. Pierce will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 6, at Memorial Funeral Chapel, Elizabethton. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” and express much appreciation to Omni Vision and Staff of Greeneville, Core Services, Johnson City, and Caris Hospice, Summer Street, Greeneville. The family requests that memorials be made in memory of Linda to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908 or the Rock Creek Presbyterian Church, 800 Rock Creek Road, Erwin, TN 37650. Condolences to the Pierce family may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
