Linda Jo Hartley


Linda Jo Fair Tuten Hartley, 68, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was born on August 21, 1944 in Elizabethton, Tenn., to the late James J. Fair and Loucille Denny Fair. She was a native of Elizabethton, Tenn., and had lived in the area for 40 years.
Mrs. Hartley was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hartley was preceded in death by her three brothers, Cecil Fair, James Earl Fair and Roy L. Fair.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Franklin Hartley Sr., of the home; four sons, Henry B. Tuten Jr. of Jonesborough, Tenn., Cheyenne Tuten of Jonesborough, Tenn., Joseph Franklin Hartley Jr. of Jonesborough, Tenn., and Timothy J.D. and wife Lola Hartley of Johnson City, Tenn; a brother, Alfred Fair of Elizabethton, Tenn.; five sisters-in-law, Shirley Fair of Johnson City, Tenn., Lavonia Horne of Alamo, Ga., Lowise Tanner of Fernadia Beach, Fla., Barbara Taylor of Hazel Hurst, Ga., and Brenda Hartley of Braxton, Ga.; three brothers-in-law, Lemie Horne of Alamo, Ga., Robert Hartley of Baxley, Ga., and Darrell Hartley of Townes, Ga.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family of Linda Hartley will have a memorial service at 4 p.m. Friday, February 22, at 3771 Cherokee Road in Jonesborough, Tenn. The family would like to extend special thanks to Cheyenne Tuten’s fiancée, Diane Wilcox, for all the loving care she showed to Linda. Online condolences may be sent to the family of Linda J.
