Linda Kay Carr


Linda Kay Carr, 62, Elizabethton, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Wellmont Bristol Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
Linda was a native of Carter County. She worked several years at the Moore’s Potato Chip Company, Bristol, Va. She was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Blanche “Mama” Hicks, her Aunt Florence Hicks and Uncle Toy Lewis Hicks.
Linda was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, cousin and friend. She always had a smile on her face. She will be greatly missed by her loving cat, Sparkey.
Survivors include a daughter, Vikki Liuni and friend Johnny Worley; her grandchildren, Scottie Carr and Megan Liuni; her mother, Dorothy Dixon and Clyde, Bristol; and her cousins, Debbie Moffitt, Ashburn, Va., Susan Hicks Chandler, Kingsport, Teresa Stout and husband Ron, Piney Flats, Rick Hicks and wife Regina, Bluff City, and other numerous cousins.
A memorial service for Ms. Carr will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 5, at Biltmore Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church. The family also extends their sincere appreciation to her dear friend, Sharon Gilbert, who also walked the journey with her. The family also wishes to express a special “Thank You” to Dr. Suzanne Patton, Dr. Johnny Fincher and their staff, the Biltmore Baptist Church family and her many special friends and neighbors.
