Michael L. Davis

Michael Lee Davis, 64, went to his heavenly home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 16, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Loretta Davis.
Mike was employed by Wallace Imports of Johnson City, Tenn. He was a sergeant of the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam.
Mike was an avid golfer and fisherman and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Kay Shaffer Davis; daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica Davis Runion and Ryan Gouge, and Kristie Bishop and Jamie Taylor; grandchildren, Katie Bishop, Kayleigh Runion, Brady Taylor and Kayden Gouge; brothers, Gary Lafferty of Florida, Patrick Davis of West Virginia and Mark Davis of West Virginia; and a sister, Debbie Bowyer of West Virginia.
A memorial service for Mr. Davis will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Sam Haynes and Rev. Terry Jones officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers will be his special friends, Harvey Shaffer, Jack Shaffer, Shannon and Dusty Shaffer, Steve Moore, Terry Babb, Beau Hicks, Darren Carley, Lakeisha Blevins, Dylan Shaffer and all employees at Wallace Imports of Johnson City. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Tyler Putnam, Dr. Colvett, Dr. Jaishankar, all the nursing staff on the Fifth Floor of Johnson City Medical Center and the Carter County EMS.
