Nathan Pritchard


Nathan Pritchard, 82, of Kingsport went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at his residence.

He was born in Carter County, Tennessee (Roan Mountain) and lived in Maryland before moving to Kingsport 20 years ago.

Mr. Pritchard was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie Jo Rhea Pritchard, and his second wife, Loretta Thacker Pritchard; a daughter, Rhonda Jennings; his parents, James and Polly Hughes Pritchard; a sister, Carlie Delio, and three brothers, Hobert Pritchard, Gene Pritchard and Ben Pritchard.

Survivors include three daughters, Theresa Hilton and husband Rev. Richard Hilton of Johnson City, Angela Conkin and husband Al Conkin, and Cynthia Livingston, all of Kingsport; five sons, Keith Pritchard and wife Jewell of Wilmington, DE, Billy Jennings of Kingsport, Curtis Pritchard and wife, Lisa, of Johnson City, Robert Jennings and wife, Ann, of Kingsport, and Randy Jennings and wife, Theresa, of Kingsport; several grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Patterson of Elizabethton; three brothers, J.P. Pritchard of Johnson City, Robert Pritchard of Richmond, VA and Gaines Pritchard of Elizabethton; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 to12 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at Calvary Church, 178 Pickens Bridge Road, Johnson City (Boones Creek). Family and friends may also call at the home of his daughter, Theresa Hilton. A funeral service will be held in the church at 12 noon with Pastor Richard Hilton, Dr. B.J. Pruitt, Dr. B. Courtney McBath, and Pastor Brent Landers officiating. Music will be provided by Ricky Hilton and Carol Adams.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport. Pallbearers will be Shannon Hall, Robbie Hilton, Ricky Hilton, Ethan Pritchard, Logan Pritchard, Nathan Livingston and Jonathan Livingston. Military Honors will be provided by the VFW Boone Dam Post #4933.
