Scott Lyons, 41, of Johnson City, Tenn., passed away Monday, July 29, 2013, at his residence.
A native of Johnson City, he was the son of Gary and Wanda Lyons of Johnson City.
Mr. Lyons was employed in auto sales and repair and enjoyed working on and showing cars. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle, Terry Lyons.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Misty Bowman Lyons, of the home; a daughter, Autumn Lyons, and a son, Noah Lyons, both of the home; a brother, Robbie Lyons and his wife Kristi, Johnson City, Tenn.; and nieces, Jordan Lyons and Britney Lyons. Several aunts and uncles also survive.
The funeral service for Mr. Lyons will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Brother Joel Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the funeral service. The committal and interment service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 1, in the Lyons Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Robbie Lyons, Wayne Davis and Noah Lyons.
