Violet Christine Fritts, 85, of Elizabethton, Tennessee, passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at the Life Care Center of Elizabethton following an extended illness. She was a native of Carter County and was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Martha Snyder Fritts. She was preceded in death by one brother,Wiley Fritts; and two sisters, Nell Fritts and Elsie Fritts.
Ms. Fritts was a graduate of Watauga Academy in Butler, TN, and studied nursing at Cannon Memorial Hospital in Banner Elk, NC. She was a retired LPN nurse and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include cousin, Bobbie Fritts and husband Kenneth, Elizabethton; an Aunt Una Fritts Glick, Wilmington, DE. Several other special cousins also survive.
The funeral service for Ms. Fritts will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 8, 2012 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Doug Hartley and Rev. Dennis Wilson officiating. Music will be under the direction of Bill Greene. The family will receive friends Monday in the funeral home chapel from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment for Ms. Fritts will follow the service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
