Kenneth E. Campbell
Kenneth E. Campbell, 75, of Telford, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009, at the VA Medical Center Hospital. A native of Washington County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Nellie Humphries Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a retired Master Chief Petty Officer from the U.S. Navy. He was of the Baptist faith, attending Cherry Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Joe Campbell.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Crowder Campbell, of the home; a daughter, Candace West and husband Shane, Oak Ridge; two sons, Richard Campbell and wife Lynda, Limestone, and Kenneth Campbell Jr., Johnson City; a sister, Betty Carter and husband George; four grandchildren, Brandi Woodfin and husband Allen, Kaitlin West, Megan Campbell and Emily West; a great-grandchild, Kathryn Woodfin; three very special friends, Richard and Kathy Dye and Vaughn Reaves; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mr. Campbell will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 7, at Maple Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Clark officiating. The family requests that everyone meet at the cemetery just before 10 a.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 6, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
