Ella M. Greene

 

Ella Mae Blevins Arrowood Greene, 96, of Johnson City, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2009, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton. Born in Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Isaac L. and Mollie C. Elliot Blevins. Mrs. Greene was a member of University Parkway Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by her first husband in 1977, L.F. Arrowood; her second husband in 1985, R.T. Greene; and by four brothers and three sisters.

 

Survivors include her sons, Lloyd F. Arrowood, Johnson City, Joseph L. Arrowood and wife Bobbie, Oak Ridge, Bill L. Arrowood and wife Peggy, Unicoi, and Ted R. Arrowood and wife Susan, Tallahassee, Fla. Six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Greene will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, at Tetrick Funeral Services with Rev. Scott Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour. A graveside service will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be chosen from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of University Parkway Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Dawn of Hope, 500 E. Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37601.
