Linda M. Scalf

 

Linda M. Scalf, 65, 739 Sugar Hollow Road, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, November 2, 2009, at her residence following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Omer and Alice Wilson Pritchard. Mrs. Scalf was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Elizabethton. She was an RN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Pritchard.

 

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, George Scalf III, Elizabethton, and Jeffrey and Terrie Scalf, Jonesborough; a daughter, Rebecca Lewis, Elizabethton; five grandchildren, Christopher Scalf, Angel Fuller Hickman, Marcus Lewis, Derick Lewis and Ciara Scalf; three great-grandchildren, Kaylee Malone, Noah Hickman and Jayden Reed-Scalf; a lifelong partner, Stanley Stover, Elizabethton; two brothers, Landon Pritchard, Elizabethton, and Paul Pritchard, Sullivan County; and two sisters, Edna Faye Stover, Elizabethton, and Charlotte Pritchard, Charlotte, N.C. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

The funeral service for Mrs. Scalf will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 5, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Greer officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. The graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, November 6, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Everyone is welcome to meet the family at 10:15 a.m. Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
