One person killed in Milligan Highway crash

Investigators were on the scene of a single-vehicle crash this morning which killed one person and left a second individual in critical condition.

Captain Greg Workman of the Elizabethton Police Department said the crash in front of the Milligan Grocery was reported at 1:50 a.m. A small white car had struck the store’s sign. The road reopened at 7:25 a.m.

The department plans to issue a press release to identify the victims later today. More details are in Tuesday’s Elizabethton STAR.
