GREENEVILLE — The public is invited to a special open house at Takoma Regional Hospital’s Diagnostic Center for Women’s Health on Tuesday, Aug. 28, from 3:30-5 p.m.
Takoma will be unveiling a new “Day By Day Feel Better” Program for breast cancer patients. Tours will be offered, as well as refreshments and door prizes.
“We will provide prosthetics, wigs, scarves, special makeup for chemo patients, just about anything we can think of to make their journey easier,” Vickie Henegar, radiology department supervisor, said. “We also will provide one-on-one counseling for breast cancer patients going through treatment, as well as helpful educational materials.”
Henegar said the hospital strives to create excellent experiences for all of its patients, but wanted to especially pamper its breast cancer patients. “They have a tough road ahead,” she said. “We want them to know we love them, are praying for them and want to provide all the resources we can to make their journey to ‘breast cancer survivor’ easier.”
The Center is located on the third floor of the Takoma Medical Associates building, 438 E. Vann Road. For more information, please call 636-0468 or 636-2369.
