Announcement is made of the engagement of Jessi Curra Perkins and Eric Scott Norman.

The bride-elect is the daughter of John D. and Jenny Perkins, 1784 Powder Branch Road, Johnson City. She is the granddaughter of Wayne and Ann Hayes, 120 Camelot Court, Elizabethton, and John and Gail Perkins, 172 Anatoth Lane, Johnson City.
Jessi is a student at Northeast State Community College. She is assistant youth director at Sinking Creek Baptist Church, Johnson City.
Her fiancé is the son of Mark and Karen Norman, 117 Milligan Street, Johnson City. He is the grandson of Wilma Kitzmiller, 123 Vanderbilt Drive, Johnson City, and the late William Kitzmiller, and the late Sue and Elwood Norman.
Eric is a member of the Air Force National Guard. He is employed at Lyon Metal Roofing and is currently attending Northeast State Community College.
The couple will be married during a private ceremony at Sinking Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 5 p.m.
