It’s a week celebrating their school, their program and those who came before them.
Elizabethton’s homecoming week reaches its climax tonight at Brown-Childress Stadium, with David Crockett venturing onto Dave Rider Field for the first time this millennium.
“It’s homecoming, we’re playing for a lot more than ourselves this week,” said Elizabethton coach Shawn Witten. “It’s the people who’ve worn that uniform before us. … I think it’s been exciting. Our attitude has been great. The coaches have done a great job preparing the team getting them ready to play.”
