Postseason golf awaits regional prep golfers

By

As the postseason begins for area high school golfers, starting at the District 1-A/AA Tournament at Elizabethton Golf Course next Monday, the question is the same as it was in July.

Can anyone defeat Sullivan South, both team wise and individually?

It looks like the South boys are still the odds-on favorite to win the district while on the girls side it is the same story, though Hampton has asserted itself as a possible sleeper.

Everyone expected South to come in and dominate both on the boys and girls side and they pretty much have overall, but the fact is this is about as good as the league has been top to bottom during my career covering prep golf.
South is solid with five golfers that shoot regularly in the 30s. The Rebels are led by future ETSU golfer Cayman Ratliff, and a solid supporting cast as well with Milligan signee Ross Miller along with Drake and Seth Crawford and Tanner Hall.
