Providence Academy in Johnson City will present “A Knight to Remember,” a dinner and auction to support the school’s annual need-based scholarship fund Friday, Nov. 2, at the Holiday Inn, 101 W. Springbrook Drive.
The event will include buffet dinner, silent and live auctions and musical entertainment, including a performance by third-grade student Carson Peters, violinist/fiddler. The auction preview begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Among the items to be auctioned is a once-in-a-lifetime weekend sports vacation for four via private jet to Nashville with club seats to see the Titans and the Predators, also enjoying the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular at the Grand Ole Opry House and accommodations at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel. Another special trip is the “Love Like You Mean It” Marriage Cruise to Key West and Cozumel during Valentine’s week. Other items include mountain vacations, sporting goods, gift cards for local dining and services, landscape features, power tools, tickets to area attractions, and more.
“We are very excited about this special evening,” said Mark Koscak, director of development at Providence Academy. “About one in four students at Providence Academy receive financial support, and the funds we will raise during the auction will go toward the $240,000 needed this year.”
Tickets will be $50 per person through Oct. 19; the cost goes up to $60 per person afterward. Seating is limited; early reservations are encouraged. For more information and ticket sales, call the Providence Academy Development Office at 854-9819.
