The fate of the Carter County Rescue Squad was discussed among county officials and commissioners Thursday morning in a meeting held behind closed door and without public notice.
STAR reporters became aware of the meeting when Sheriff Chris Mathes spoke during the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce board meeting on Thursday afternoon.
