Rheba S. Peters Stout Vines

Rheba S. Peters Stout Vines, 82, 1132 Highway 91, Elizabethton, was called to her Heavenly Home on Monday, February 17, 2014, at Pine Ridge Health Care Center.
Rheba was born August 5, 1931 to the late John W. and Vinia Peters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Stout, in 2006, and by 14 brothers and sisters.
Rheba retired from North American Rayon Corporation. She was a member of New Liberty Freewill Baptist Church, where she attended faithfully until she became homebound.
Survivors include her faithful and loving husband of 39 years, Jerry Vines, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Glen Dale Stout and Rose, and Jeffrey Lynn Stout and Debbie, all of Elizabethton; four grandchildren, Tracie Stout, Elizabethton, Melissa Thompson and husband Denny, Lawety, Fla., Samantha Stout Hopson and Jared Arnold, both of Elizabethton; a sister-in-law, Eliz Buck, who loved Rheba like a sister; a brother-in-law, Wayne Vines; and three nieces, who made her feel special, Susan Barbera, Janice Artino and Delores Lyons. Several other nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 20, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. A special prayer will be given by Pastor Bryan Smith, following the visitation. Friends may also visit at the home, 1132 Highway 91, Elizabethton, Tenn., at anytime. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, February 21, in the Blevins Cemetery with Pastor Bill Greer officiating. Active pallbearers will be Tony Vines, Paul Burrow, Anthony Burrow, Greg Hurley, Jared Arnold, Jacob Stout and John Colbaugh. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Vines’ family and friends. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at 10:15 a.m. Friday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, to go in procession. The family would like to express forever gratefulness to the staff of Pine Ridge Health Care, Appalachian Christian Village and Caris Hospice for the loving care Rheba received during her illness. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 2335 Knob Creek Road, Suite 101, Johnson City, TN 37604.
