Ruby M. Weeks

Ruby Mae Morgan Weeks, 83, 128 Spring Street, Hampton, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Johnson City Medical Center.

 

A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Helen Duvall Morgan. She had lived most of her life in Carter County.

 

Mrs. Weeks was a homemaker. She loved to paint.

 

Mrs. Weeks is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Scalf, of the home; four sons, Clarence “Jim” Weeks and wife Janice, Wasilla, Alaska, William “Bill” Weeks and wife Mary, Elizabethton, Dean Weeks and wife Pam, Knoxville, and Keith Weeks and wife Deb, Hampton; a daughter-in-law, Gina Weeks; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Several brothers and sisters also survive.

 

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, October 1, and Sunday, October 2, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at her residence, 128 Spring Street, Hampton. Private burial of the cremains will be at a later date. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the 2300 Wing of Johnson City Medical Center and also to her many special friends.
