Senior center will host CarFit program Friday

The Elizabethton Senior Citizens Center will host CarFit, a free educational event for senior drivers in their vehicles, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5.

The first 10 cars at the event will receive gift cards. Gifts bags will be distributed and light refreshments will be available. The AAA, the American Occupational Therapy Association and AARP worked together to develop CarFit. A team of trained technicians and health care professionals will work to ensure the driver fits properly in their vehicle to increase comfort and safety.

The center is located at 428 E. G. St., Elizabethton.
