Several businesses have sights on city

Elizabethton will soon be home to a number of new businesses, with one set to hold its grand opening within the next few weeks.

A new Dollar General Store, Waffle House, Quality Oil gas station and Raceway convenience store and gas station have all had plans approved by the Elizabethton Regional Planning Commission to open businesses in Elizabethton.

The Dollar General Store is now open and will be celebrating a grand opening at the beginning of October, according to a representative in the district store office. The new store, at 2185 Highway 19-E, is a relocation of the Dollar General in the Betsytowne Shopping Center.
