Johnson County sheriff’s deputies say their search for a man who fled from a routine traffic stop led them to a suspected methamphetamine lab.
On Tuesday, Jason E. Glover, 32, and Tina A. Glover, 39, both of 205 Shouns Mission Lane, Mountain City, were arrested after deputies said they discovered the lab while they were looking for Jason Glover at his home.
According to Sheriff Mike Reece, on Tuesday afternoon, Jason Glover was pulled over by deputies Adam Guinn and Chris Dunn for “some type of traffic violation.” During that stop, he said Glover ran from the vehicle.
While he was able to elude the deputies at the time, Reece said Guinn and Dunn went to his home address on Shouns Mission Lane. Though Jason Glover was not at home, his wife Tina Glover was. Reece added that when Tina Glover was asked if the deputies could be allowed inside to continue their search, she consented.
“You would have thought she would have said no,” Reece said. “But, upon that search, we located the meth lab in their house.”
