A Morristown man who police allege was operating a sophisticated indoor marijuana growing operation in an empty Hampton home was incarcerated in the Carter County Jail Wednesday.
Larry Alan Shockley, 40, was charged with manufacturing a Schedule VI controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are kept or sold and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia
after a raid by First Judicial Drug Task Force agents and Carter County Sheriff’s Department officers at 601Route 321 in Hampton.
According to Sheriff Chris Mathes, the officers found a complex irrigation system of timers inside the house and 39 plants ready to harvest.
