Silver anniversary for memorable Unaka year

The Rangers derailed high-scoring Chattanooga Christian, in the Class A sub-state playoffs, for their second state tournament berth at Vanderbilt’s Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville.
“Coach Snavely talked about going to the state tournament,” said Johnny Ensor, who was a junior guard on the silver anniversary team. “We didn’t even know what the state tournament was. We had never been to the state tournament, until Ronnie.
