SingleVision plans to host trip to Heartwood Gallery

By

SingleVision will be taking a trip to Heartwood Gallery in Abingdon, Va., on Thursday, Aug. 30.

Meet at the First Broad Street United Methodist Church parking lot behind the Wesley Wing by 3:30 p.m. to carpool to the Heartwood Southwest Virginia Artisan Gallery, which is located in Abingdon, Va., at Exit 14 off Interstate 81 near Highland College.

The trip will include a tour of the facilities, followed by an “open jam” music session from 6 to 9 p.m. This is a fairly new facility, featuring music, original crafts and regional cuisine.

The restaurant features an extensive menu before 6 p.m. and an abbreviated Thursday night barbecue menu from 6 to 9 p.m. Meal prices range from $6 to $19 with soup/appetizers starting at $3. If you cannot make the 3:30 p.m. departure, feel free to join the group later for dinner and music. Participants will still have time to browse the facility.

Participants will share the gas price for carpooling (up to $5) and dinner on your own. Food and craft items are also available for purchase.

Call Jane Adams at 246-1727 or Marcy Hagen at 956-1007 if you plan to attend or have questions.
