GREENEVILLE — A dominant start by the ranked South Greene girls team was enough to secure a home Watauga Valley Conference victory with ease.
A wide second half foul discrepancy and two technicals, however, prevented Unaka’s Lady Rangers from making it a competitive second half in a 62-23 decision.
“I wasn’t happy with the way the second half was played, not really by us, but in general,” said Unaka coach Wes Wright. “I don’t think we never had an opportunity to play in the second half. We were never able to flow and never got hot. We’ve got to regroup.”
