SSH completing certification process for Chest Pain CenterDaniel

The Sycamore Shoals Hospital Foundation Board received an update on the progress of the future Chest Pain Center that is planned for Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

Sycamore Shoals Hospital is currently working to complete the requirements to meet the accreditation process for a Chest Pain Center, which be located on the second floor of SSH and will have six beds for admitted patients. The hospital has already been caring for chest pain patients and acute coronary syndrome patients in that area and have been using the same standards and practices that will be in place when the Chest Pain Center is officially operational.

 

Morgan May, Chest Pain Center Coordinator, and Melanie Stanton, Chief Nursing Officer, gave a presentation on the Chest Pain Center and provided the board with details about the certification process needed to officially open the center.
