State matchups set for EHS, Cloudland, Hampton girls

The TSSAA girls state tournament draw was conducted Sunday afternoon in Murfreesboro, where Elizabethton, Cloudland and Hampton learned their quarterfinal opponents.
In Class A activity, the Lady Bulldogs (27-9) will meet Jackson County (30-3) at 5:30 p.m. (central) on Wednesday, then Cloudland (24-11) and Union City (30-3) square off at 10 a.m. Thursday.
The Lady Cyclones (28-4) will play a Class AA contest with Westview (29-6) Thursday. The teams are scheduled for a 1 p.m. tip-off.
The Class AAA draw paired Science Hill (33-3) and Bradley Central (29-2) for a 1 p.m. Wednesday contest.
All games will be held at the Murphy Center on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. Semifinals games are set for Friday and championships Saturday.
