Featuring a wide variety of music — country, gospel and bluegrass — Steve Flack and Nancy Renfro are guaranteed to entertain and delight all ages at the Kiwanis Campfire Program presented by the Kiwanis Club of Erwin with the support of the Cherokee National Forest Service.

They are old friends to the Campfire Programs, having enchanted audiences in the past, and organizers of the series know they will do so again this Friday. Their program includes such a wide range that they’re just bound to include some of everybody’s favorites.

The program starts at 8 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m. Remember, the program is absolutely free and even includes a free marshmallow roast after the program with marshmallows, sticks and the perfect fire. Bring family and friends — it’s free for everyone.

From Exit 36 off Interstate 26 at Erwin, turn left at the top of the ramp, continue to the dead end, turn right on North Main. Turn left on Route 395 (Rock Creek Road). The entrance to Rock Creek Recreation Area will be on your left in less than two miles. Inside the area, special signs will direct you to the amphitheater next to the swimming pool.

In the event of rain, the program will be moved to the Rock Creek Presbyterian Church. Just head back toward town on 395 (Rock Creek Road) and look for the signs at the church on your left.
