String of vandalisms reported in Roan Mountain

The Carter County Sheriff’s Department is investigating several reports of vandalism in Roan Mountain, including damage to a church, on school property and a residence.

On Tuesday morning, CCSD Deputy Ashley McCall reported about vandalism on Carter County School property. Randy Birchfield, principal at Cloudland Elementary School, said someone had damaged the shingles on the concession stand, four trash cans and water hose at a location on Old Highway 143.
