Students mark 12-12-12 with food collection

By

West Side Elementary students marked the last repetitive date of the century – 12-12-12 – with a food drive and an essay contest in which they pondered what Christmas 2112 will be like.

Students collected 1,911 canned food items for the food pantry at First Christian Church

Abby Harrison, Norman Xie and Mia Garvey were the essay winners
at West Side Elementary

in Elizabethton.
