The 2013 Lamplight Christmas Wreath exhibit opens Sunday, Dec. 1, and there’s still time to sign up and have a wreath in the show.

Sycamore Shoals Secretary and Exhibit Organizer Johnnie Pilk said 16 wreaths had been registered so far and that the show has room for 24 wreaths. The wreaths will be displayed on decorative lamp posts and placed strategically throughout the Visitors Center.

“The wreaths will be throughout the building as accents,” Pilk said. “It will be really pretty, and I think it will be nice for the visitors.”

The theme for this year’s wreath exhibit is “An Historic Christmas.” There is no cost to participate in the exhibit, but participants must provide their own 24-inch artificial wreath.

Pilk said groups can be as creative as they wish and use any variety of decorations, ribbons and embellishments to dress up the wreaths.
