T.A. Dugger boys trip Sevier

By

Injury and illness have left the T.A. Dugger basketball squad devoid of depth, but the state of emergency has not affected the dependability of its go-to ballers outside and in the post.

It was that corps that carried the Orange & Black Tuesday at John B. Large Gynasium as the Jr. Cyclones outlasted Sevier 46-42.

Center Russell Carter and guard Hunter Vines captured 11 key points apiece while shooting guard Hayden Townshend shot well for nine.

It was the momentum created by their scoring cohesiveness that carried the Jr. Cyclones through a game that had no speed limit. Betsyites and Warriors in attendance were treated to a tempo that resembled Talledega more than the west end of Elizabethton — with plenty of collisions to boot.
