The T.A. Dugger Lady Jr. Cyclones pushed the tempo, pushing their win total to eight in the process with a 48-38 besting of Ross Robinson Monday night at John B. Large Gymnasium.
For first year TAD coach Barry Johnson, the quickening of the pace was a strategy that paid winning dividends for his squad against a Ross Robinson team full of perimeter shooting talent.
“We have good depth,” Johnson said. “We knew that pushing the ball on offense and using the press on defense would help us offset their good shooting. We wanted to affect their focus on offense by getting them thinking about dealing with the up tempo. It worked out well for us.”
