Tee-off set Friday for Chamber golf tournment

The Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual golf tournament fundraiser at the Elizabethton Municipal Golf Course Friday, Sept. 28.

Dixon Golfing will be partnering with the Chamber to provide challenges and games for all golf enthusiasts who participate. Lunch will be provided by Chick-fil-A from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. along with refreshments for the all-day challenge. All golf participants will receive a golfer gift bag at the tee off.

Some of the special challenges being held within the game will include: one shot putting contest sponsored by Carter County Bank of Elizabethton which entails an opportunity to win $2,500 cash prize; a hole in one/prize hole opportunity to win $10,000 cash prize sponsored by Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Other challenges will include longest drive, closest to the pin with Dixon Golfing Co., or straightest drives sponsored by Northeast State of Elizabethton.

Proceeds for the event will be used to build community programs throughout Elizabethton and Carter County. To continue improving community, membership programs, community celebrations/festivals, Chamber organizers invite golfers of all levels to come and have some fun on the green.
