THP identifies victims in Highway 19E crash

A 2-year-old child and a 7-year-old child died Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 19E in the Valley Forge community.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that Dalton Moffitt, 2, and Jonathan Nye, 7, were passengers in a Ford Taurus that had been traveling south on 19E but crossed the median and struck a northbound Chevrolet mini-van.

The Ford’s driver, Katrine Nye, and another passenger, Jodie Hensley, were taken to the JCMC with critical injuries.

The driver of the mini-van, Amy Alexander, and a passenger, Lindsey Sluder, were also taken to JCMC.
