Travis Ludlow investigates everything from flower pot thefts to homicides

Not every case that comes across Carter County Sheriff’s Department investigator Travis Ludlow’s desk is easy, but one in particular, was solved when the alleged burglars crashed their vehicle just a short distance from the crime scene.

“We got a report that there was a burglary in progress,” Ludlow said. “The officers got there. It turns out (the suspects) had driven right around the corner, flipped their car and all of the stolen property had spilled out into the roadway.”
