TTC’s Blevins credits hands-on training for high job placement rate

The Tennessee Technology Center at Elizabethton continues to be a pacesetter in program completion and job placement rates among post-secondary training institutions governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents in Northeast Tennessee, according to Dean Blevins, director.

Progress continues at the $16 million Technology Center construction project, which will add three new buildings and renovate a fourth building.

 

For the 12-month period ending Aug. 31, the program completion rate was 92 percent, the job placement rate was 91 percent, and the licensure pass rate was 91 percent on the Tennessee Board of Nursing Examination.

“We will continue efforts to improve graduation, program completion and job placement rates consistent with the goals of the Complete College Tennessee Act,” Blevins said.

Computer Information Technology, Electricity/Electronics, Millwright Skills and Welding had 100 percent completion rates. Automotive Technology, Diesel Powered Equipment Technology and Millwright Skills had 100 percent job placement rates.
